Kazakhstan is ready to transfer its Aktau and Kuryk ports on the Caspian Sea under the management of companies from the European Union. This is reported by the KZ Insider website.

The transfer will be carried out on the basis of ship-or-pay agreements. Ship-or-pay is a scheme in which the carrier is obliged to transport a certain amount of the customer's cargo, and the customer pays for the transportation, even in case of non–delivery of the cargo.

Kazakhstan also intends to create a container hub in the Caspian Sea.

Earlier, the republic also expressed its readiness to transfer 22 airports under the management of European investors.
