Apple will launch the Vision Pro AR/VR headset in China before the end of this year. This was stated by Apple CEO Tim Cook at the China Development Forum, which is being held in Beijing.
This announcement was the first confirmation that Apple's AR/VR headset will hit the market in a specific country this year. According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, global sales of the Vision Pro will begin after Apple's annual WWDC conference, which usually takes place in the first week of June.
Tim Cook also added that Apple intends to continue increasing investment in research and development in China.
During a speech to event participants, including Prime Minister Li Qiang and Chinese officials and executives from more than 80 foreign companies, the Apple CEO praised the contribution of Chinese suppliers to achieving the goal of carbon neutrality.
