According to the results of the first quarter of 2024, Turkmenistan's GDP grew by 6.3%
In the first quarter of 2024, Turkmenistan's GDP growth remained at 6.3%. In the sectoral context of the GDP structure, the largest percentage growth compared to the period January-March 2023 was recorded in trade – 8.2. The service sector is also progressing – 7.6. This indicator in the transport and communications sector was 6.6, industry - 4.7, agriculture – 4.1.
Such data were announced at a meeting of the Turkmen government on Saturday, April 5, as reported in the news release of the Turkmen State Television.
In general, the volume of products produced in the country increased by 8.8%, and retail turnover increased by 11%.
Capital investments in the development of the national economy at the expense of all sources of financing were allocated by 25.3% more.
