Turkmen athletes participate in the Asian Youth Para Games

Turkmen athletes take part in the 3rd Asian Youth Para Games which will take place between 10-14 December in Dubai (United Arab Emirates). Turkmenistan is represented by 6 Paralympic athletes among the 800 athletes from 30 Asian countries. During the competition, the participants of the Games compete in such sports as weightlifting and athletics, swimming, boccia (a precision sports game belonging to a family of ball games), goalball, badminton and table tennis.Aijahan ATABALLYEVA
Competitions are organized by the Asian Paralympic Committee, the National Paralympic Committee for United Arab Emirates. Most of the competitions take place at the Dubai Club for the Disabled.
“These Games are really an important component of the implementation of the idea of the Asian Paralympic Committee to turn Asia into a leading Paralympic region,” said the President of the Asian Paralympic Committee Majid Rashed.
