Afghanistan needs international support - President of Russia

The government of Afghanistan needs the support of the world community. This statement was made today by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin at the major end-of-the-year press conference. Answering the question of an Afghan journalist about the possibility of cooperation between Russia and the United States in Afghanistan, the Russian Leader noted that one of the directions on which Moscow and Washington could cooperate in this country is the counteraction to drug trafficking and international terrorism.
