Uzbekistan and Tajikistan are canceling the requirement for permit forms for transit cargo transportation. The press service of the Ministry of Transport of Tajikistan reports this.

The abolition of permits reduces delivery time and reduces the risk of cargo damage. The changes will come into force after both countries ratify the relevant document.

During the recent visit of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Tajikistan, the heads of the ministries of transport of the two states signed a protocol on amendments and additions to the intergovernmental agreement on international road transport dated March 8, 2018.

Today, 1,200 transit cargo transportations are carried out annually across the territory of the two states.
