"Star of the Year - 2017" selected among young singers in Turkmenistan

The last stage of the song competition "Star of the Year - 2017" finished in Ashgabat, determining the winners by the national SMS voting. The holder of the title "Star of the Year" is the popular Turkmen singer Ahmet Atajanov, known to many for inspirational songs dedicated to sports and the 5th Asian Games held in the capital in September this year. In addition to the Grand Prix in the competition there are three more winners. The second place was won by Leyli Okdirova, a performer with a lot of unique talents, one of which is the ability to sing beautifully both in her native language and in several foreign ones.
Dovlet Amanlykov, one of the most popular soloists in Turkmenistan, who is a frequent guest singer in magnificent Turkmen weddings, known for his grandiose scope, is the closest to the top three.
Nine years in a row, the "Star of the Year" contest captures the attention of Turkmenistan's viewers and radio listeners, and each time one of the brightest young performers of the country is determined. To determine the best of the best, the organizers put rather difficult conditions for the contestants. For example, every soloist should sing a couple of song verses without music, which most fully reveals their true vocal abilities.
