The magnificent Akhal-Teke horse was presented today to the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirzieev on behalf of his Turkmen counterpart - President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Symbolically, the name of the horse that came from Ashgabat to Tashkent is Dosthan, which means the King of Friendship. Today, an elite horse was introduced during a visit to Shavkat Mirzieev by the Uzbegim otlari stud farm in the Urtachirchik district of the Tashkent region. This factory also breeds Akhal-Teke horses, whose historical homeland, as the name of the breed says, is the Ahal foothill valley of Turkmenistan. A two-year-old stallion, Dosthan, leads his ancestry from the famous Gaplan. He was raised and raised in the Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex, whose activities are directly patronized by the President of Turkmenistan. This horse breeding center at the foothills of the Kopetdag is considered one of the leading centers of the world in Akhalteke horse breeding, although in Turkmenistan it is far from the only one. Similar centers are established in all regions of the country. In addition to breeding, selection work, the development of equestrian sports - not only traditional smooth racing but also jumping, dressage, and marathon, for Turkmenistan, - has developed greatly.
