Turkmen coaches Ykhlas Setdarov, Rashid Tursunov and Tatyana Vidyasova received certificates from the International Judo Federation (IJF) for advanced training - “Undergraduate certificate as judo instructor”.

According to the new IJF rules, starting from 2025, all judges and coaches participating in international tournaments are required to have this certificate confirming their high level of qualifications. Without completing this course, coaches and judges will not be able to participate in competitions.

The course, in which specialists from Turkmenistan took part, lasted 19 weeks and brought together about 45 trainers from all over the world. The initial stages of training took place online, including online exams on judo terminology in Japanese and the rules of international competitions.

The final stage took place in October in the capital of Italy - Rome. It included practical training with 8 international specialists. Based on the results of three exams, all three representatives of Turkmenistan, having successfully passed them, were awarded the coveted certificates, which opens the door for them to international tournaments in 2025.
