The international sports organization World Boxing has announced the creation of a new Asian Confederation. This was reported on the website of the National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan.

The new structure will be responsible for the development and promotion of boxing across Asia. The creation of the confederation has received broad support both within the organization and among the international boxing community.

Pichai Chunhavajira, who previously headed the existing Asian Boxing Confederation (ASBC), expressed his full support for the process of forming the new organization and its future operations.

The head of World Boxing, Boris van der Vorst, called this decision a historic step and expressed confidence that this structure will help elevate Asian boxing to a new level.

Also confident in the success of the new confederation is the chairman of the World Boxing Olympic Commission, Gennady Golovkin, who emphasized the importance of Asian boxing on the global stage.
