In the heart of Europe, in France, the areas of virtual reality appeared, with the help of which travelers can be transported to earlier eras and feel the spirit of those periods. According to the project “Timescope” it is provided to build the special booths near the famous historical sites and landmarks of the country. Artists and designers reproduce three-dimensional images, using ancient illustrations, drawings and information of historians. As stationary binoculars, which are installed on skyscrapers, such booths could not only carry persons who love travel into the past, but also invite them to take a virtual tour of the world of antiquity, like a time machine. In total, there are 15 such virtual kiosks in France. It is expected that by the end of this year about a hundred zones of “access to the past” will start to work around the world.
