Nowruz was celebrated in Washington
The diplomatic missions of Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Türkiye, and Azerbaijan in the United States celebrated the Nowruz holiday.
The event was attended by representatives of the U.S. Department of State and Congress, entrepreneurs, members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Washington, as well as the Turkic diaspora of America.
The evening's cultural program featured dance performances, including the Turkmen folk dance Kushtdepdi, performed by creative groups, and instrumental music played on traditional instruments.
Furthermore, guests were treated to dishes from the cuisines of Turkic peoples.
In his address, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the United States, Meret Orazov, cordially congratulated those present on the occasion. He emphasized the celebration this year of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent Neutrality. In this context, he pointed to the adoption by the UN General Assembly of the resolution on the "Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan”.
