Reduced Tariffs on Internet Increase Earnings of Turkmen Providers

From 5 October to 31 December 2017 the national Internet providers conducted several promotional campaigns to reduce tariffs by the average of 35%. Within this short period, the number of new subscribers bounced by 1.2, and the increase in traffic boosted service revenues by 2 million manats. Previously, the annual increase in the number Internet users in Turkmenistan equaled to 230%. The new approach multiplied this figure, encouraging greater Internet penetration in the Turkmen society.
