Turkmenistan was represented at the meeting of the first group of experts on the development of higher education in the region of the member states of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).

According to the website of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, the meeting took place on April 15-16, 2025, in Islamabad, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. It was organized by the Education and Skills Department of the Economic Cooperation Organization and the Higher Education Commission of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

The main goal of this meeting is to develop a roadmap for actions on the development of higher education in the region of the ECO member states and to discuss the plan for 2025-2030.
