Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov arrived in Kazakhstan
National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov arrived in Kazakhstan.
The distinguished guest was met by President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the airport of the city of Turkestan.
As part of the visit, an informal meeting and a visit to a number of city sites are planned.
Today, on April 21, both the Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan and the President of Kazakhstan visited the mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi - one of the greatest spiritual and historical-cultural shrines of the Turkic world. The mausoleum is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
The distinguished guests honored the memory of the outstanding thinker, and also got acquainted with the restoration and research work that is actively carried out in the mausoleum, the press service of Akorda reports.
