The Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan held talks with the President of Kyrgyzstan
On April 23, on Wednesday, National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, as part of a working visit to Kyrgyzstan, in the city of Cholpon-Ata, held talks with the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov.
The parties discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation, including trade and economic cooperation, cultural and humanitarian ties and regional initiatives.
Welcoming the distinguished guest, President Sadyr Japarov emphasized the importance of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov's visit in strengthening the centuries-old friendship between the Kyrgyz and Turkmen peoples, the website of the head of the republic reports.
Sadyr Japarov noted the confident positive dynamics in trade cooperation between the two countries, as well as the importance of implementing the project to create a joint Kyrgyz-Turkmen Development Fund, in accordance with Kyrgyzstan's experience in creating bilateral development funds with Russia, Hungary, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.
Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov thanked the President of Kyrgyzstan for the warm welcome and expressed readiness for in-depth and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries. He emphasized the desire and readiness of the Turkmen side for active interaction in all key areas, including trade, gas, energy, transport, culture and education.
It was expressed confidence that the talks will open up new prospects for bilateral partnership. In this context, Sadyr Japarov quoted the words of the great Turkmen thinker Magtymguly Fragi: "Unity is the force that turns a dream into reality," the press service of the President of Kyrgyzstan said.
