Expo 2025 Japan attracts over one million visitors in 11 days

The World Expo 2025 held in Japan, has attracted more than one million visitors in just 11 days since its opening.

Speaking at an event to mark the milestone, Hiroyuki Ishige, Secretary-General of Expo 2025, said the Expo offers a unique experience and will be a great getaway for visitors, especially ahead of Golden Week, when Japan sees a high volume of tourism.

Organizers expect the number of visitors to exceed 28 million during the six-month event, which ends in October. The event is also historic, as the last time Japan hosted the World Expo was in 2005, when it took 17 days to reach one million visitors.
