On April 28th in the city of Arkadag, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, Zavki Zavkizoda, and the Minister of Economy and Finance of Turkmenistan, Mammetguly Astangulov, discussed matters pertaining to the increase in the volume of mutual trade between Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. This information is reported by the National Information Agency of Tajikistan "Khovar".

Mr. Zavkizoda noted that due to the wise and far-sighted policies of the leaders of the two states—the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, and the President of Turkmenistan, His Excellency Serdar Berdimuhamedov—bilateral relations are steadily developing and have reached a high level.

The parties affirmed their readiness to augment the volumes of mutual trade, freight transport, and transit of goods, as well as to deepen industrial cooperation.

The Tajik side extended an invitation to Turkmenistan to participate in the High-Level International Conference on Glacier Preservation, scheduled to take place from May 29th to 31st, 2025, in Dushanbe.

In conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to intensify efforts towards the timely implementation of the directives issued by the heads of state of Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
