Producers from ten countries will present their products at the “Kazan Halal Market” fair
The XVI International Economic Forum 'Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum 2025' will be held at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Center from May 13th to 18th, 2025.
As part of the forum, the international trade fair 'Kazan Halal Market' will take place at the Kazan Agro-Industrial Park. At the largest halal trading platform in Russia, it will be possible to purchase food products, clothing, accessories, cosmetics, and other goods with relevant certification from leading manufacturing companies in Islamic world countries.
This year, the fair will host over 150 companies from 15 regions of the Russian Federation, including producers from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Iran, India, and Senegal, as well as over 40,000 visitors.
Currently, the Republic of Tatarstan has more than 150 halal product manufacturers, of which approximately 20 companies are export-oriented.
The volume of halal product manufacturing in the Republic of Tatarstan exceeds 10.0 billion rubles, with an annual growth of approximately 10% compared to the previous year. In 2024, the export of halal standard products from the Republic of Tatarstan amounted to 14.0 million US dollars, showing a growth of 21.7% compared to 2023.
Over the first four months of the current year, the export of halal products has exceeded 8.0 million US dollars, primarily consisting of dairy, meat, and confectionery products. The planned target for halal product exports in 2025 is to reach a figure exceeding 17 million US dollars.
Key importers of halal products include the CIS countries, Mongolia, Brazil, Iraq, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Algeria. Malaysia and Morocco are currently being explored.
The main exporters in the “Halal” sector include companies such as: Akulchev (confectionery), Essen Production (confectionery, sauces), Agrosila Holding (meat products), Kausar Agricultural Production Cooperative (meat products), Vamin-Tatarstan (butter, cheese), and MLK-GROUP LLC (skimmed milk powder).
Mutually beneficial relations strengthen partnership and align with the goals of the national project “Export”.
