During the General Assembly of the International Organization GS1, held in Mumbai from 19 to 22 May, a solemn celebration of the National Organization GS1 Turkmenistan took place in connection with the 10th anniversary of its membership in this authoritative structure engaged in the development and implementation of global standards and solutions for identification, collection and exchange of data in supply chains.

The Chairperson of GS1 Turkmenistan Aykamar Myalikgulyeva was presented with a special commemorative sign in recognition of the successful activities of the national organization and its contribution to the implementation of global goals and the unified strategy of GS1.

It is significant that the tenth anniversary of GS1 Turkmenistan coincides with the "International Year of Peace and Trust" declared by the United Nations and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality.

Turkmenistan's membership in GS1, the leading international standardization organization, is important for the integration of the national economy into the global economic space, contributing to the competitiveness of Turkmen products and facilitating international trade. This membership directly reflects the foreign policy strategy of independent neutral Turkmenistan, aimed at developing a broad international dialogue based on the UN Charter and generally recognized norms of international law.
