President Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with the Speaker of the Parliament of Mongolia
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as part of his state visit to Mongolia, held a meeting on June 2 with Chairman of the State Great Khural (Parliament) of Mongolia Dashzegviin Amarbayasgalan.
During the meeting, it was expressed confidence that the first state visit of the President of Turkmenistan since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Turkmenistan in 1992 will strengthen the friendship between the peoples with historical ties and will make a significant contribution to the expansion of friendly relations and cooperation.
Chairman Amarbayasgalan spoke in favor of further developing ties between the State Great Khural of Mongolia and the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, including between parliamentary friendship groups.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed the importance of strengthening the legal framework of bilateral relations and expressed his intention to deepen friendly relations between the two countries, expand trade and economic cooperation and deepen the dialogue between youth and women of the two countries.
The parties exchanged views on the practical implementation of cooperation initiatives, as well as on international and regional issues, the MONTSAME news agency reports.
