The vote count for the second round of the presidential election, held on Sunday, has been finalized in Poland. 42-year-old historian Karol Nawrocki, nominated by the conservative “Law and Justice” party, has been declared the winner.

According to official data from the State Electoral Commission, Nawrocki secured 50.9% of the vote, surpassing his main rival, Warsaw Mayor and representative of the ruling coalition, Rafał Trzaskowski, who garnered 49.1%. The margin of victory was less than two percentage points.

Voter turnout was notably high, with 72.8% of registered citizens casting their ballots in the second round.
