Rashid Meredov met with Director of the Turkmenistan-USA Business Council Eric Stewart
On June 8, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with Executive Director of the Turkmenistan-USA Business Council Eric Stewart. The parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of cooperation between Turkmenistan and American companies.
During the talks, key areas of bilateral cooperation were identified, including trade and economic sphere, fuel and energy sector, transport and communications, industry, agriculture and high technologies. Particular attention was paid to the possibilities of expanding contacts in such important areas as cybersecurity, green technologies and education. The role of the Turkmenistan-USA Business Council in strengthening interstate relations was separately emphasized.
The head of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry confirmed the commitment of the government of Turkmenistan to deepening trade and economic cooperation with American business structures. The press release of the Turkmen Ministry of Foreign Affairs also noted the long-term positive contribution of US companies to the development of various sectors of the economy of Turkmenistan.
