Turkmen Schoolchildren to Participate in the 10th International Forum “Children of the Commonwealth” in Minsk
From July 7 to 16, 2025, the 10th International Cultural and Educational Forum “Children of the Commonwealth” will take place in Minsk, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Among the participants is a delegation of schoolchildren from Turkmenistan, along with young representatives from seven other member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
The forum program includes visits to memorial sites, cultural and educational activities, excursions, as well as meetings with government officials and representatives of the academic community. The official opening ceremony and flower-laying at the “Minsk – Hero City” stele will be held on July 8.
Participants will also have the opportunity to visit the National Library of Belarus, the National Academy of Sciences, the “Khatyn” Memorial Complex, and the National Children's Technopark. As part of the forum, meetings will take place with members of the Council of the Republic, relevant ministries, and Belarusian cosmonaut Marina Vasilevskaya.
The “Children of the Commonwealth” Forum has been held since 2013 at the initiative of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan and under the auspices of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS. The anniversary 10th edition in Minsk is organized at the suggestion of the Chairwoman of the Council of the Republic of Belarus, Natalya Kochanova.
