On July 17, on the initiative of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Pavel Utyupin, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Minsk Nazarguly Shagulyev.

During the fruitful dialogue, the parties discussed in detail the current state and future prospects of bilateral relations. The emphasis was placed on key areas: from political interaction and trade and economic ties to cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

The diplomats agreed on the importance of regular consultations between the heads of the foreign policy departments. This indicates a clear mutual interest and desire to systematically strengthen the partnership between the two countries.

Particular attention was paid to the schedule of upcoming visits and meetings, including at international venues. In this context, the parties touched upon the preparations for the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3), which will be held very soon - from August 4 to 8, 2025 in the Avaza National Tourist Zone, Turkmenistan. The diplomats emphasized the similarity of the positions of Turkmenistan and Belarus in promoting significant international initiatives.

Following the meeting, Turkmenistan and Belarus confirmed their readiness to further deepen the constructive dialogue. Both sides recognized the need to build up multifaceted cooperation that fully meets their common interests, laying a solid foundation for the future strengthening of bilateral relations.
