Flag-Raising Ceremony Held in Avaza to Mark the Start of the UN Conference LLDC3
Today, a flag-raising ceremony was held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone to mark the start of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries.
This ceremony became an expression of the importance of the upcoming global forum, which is held once every ten years and is dedicated to the comprehensive development of landlocked developing countries.
The flag-raising ceremony was held with the participation of Deputy Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and UN Under-Secretary-General, High Representative for the Least Developed, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island States Rabab Fatima.
"Welcome to Avaza. I wish success to all participants of the conference!" - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov said in his speech. Rabab Fatima expressed hope that the forum will strengthen and expand partnerships between the countries.
Turkmenistan with great responsibility carried out all the necessary preparatory measures for the successful holding of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries in the country.
This significant event serves as evidence that Turkmenistan considers the United Nations as a universal international platform, endowed with the mandate of the world community on the issues of preserving and strengthening international peace and security, ensuring sustainable development of all states and peoples.
