Xiaomi is expediting the release of its new smartphones, with both the Xiaomi 16 series and the Redmi Turbo 5 set to hit the market earlier than anticipated.

The Xiaomi 16 series is now expected to be released by the end of September, which is a month earlier than last year's Xiaomi 15 smartphones.

The Redmi Turbo 5 will also be unveiled ahead of its previous schedule. While its predecessor, the Redmi Turbo 4, was announced in January, the new model will be launched in the domestic Chinese market this December. The Redmi Turbo 5 will be the first smartphone in the world to feature the new-generation Dimensity 8500 single-chip system, for which Xiaomi has secured exclusive rights.

The smartphone will be equipped with a flat 6.67-inch 1.5K resolution OLED display and a large 7000 mAh battery.
