Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Islamabad Atajan Movlamov met with Federal Minister of Finance and Revenue of Pakistan, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb on Monday, August 11.

During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues related to the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation in the financial and economic sphere. Emphasizing the friendly nature of Turkmen-Pakistani relations, the parties expressed mutual interest in further deepening the partnership aimed at implementing mutually beneficial projects and initiatives.

Particular attention was paid to accelerating the implementation of the TAPI project, as well as expanding trade and economic ties, stimulating mutual investment and creating favorable conditions for business activity.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual commitment to developing a fruitful partnership, expressing confidence that the implementation of joint initiatives will contribute to sustainable socio-economic growth and strengthening mutually beneficial ties between Turkmenistan and Pakistan, the Turkmen embassy website said.

The Ambassador also extended an invitation to the Pakistani side to attend the Investment Forum (TIF), which will be held in Ashgabat in September.
