Over 24,000 children to start first grade in Lebap velayat
In the new 2025–2026 academic year, a total of 24,830 children in the Lebap velayat will begin their first-grade journey. According to the Ministry of Education, these young students, who are entering school for the first time, will receive gift computers from the President.
The Lebap velayat's educational system is extensive. In the recently concluded 2024–2025 academic year, 21,364 students graduated from the region's secondary schools. The regional education department manages 384 general education schools, 3 boarding schools, and a rehabilitation and education complex, which together served 337,093 students.
The velayat also has 284 preschool institutions for 54,957 children and approximately 40 specialized schools offering advanced studies in specific subjects.
Preparations for the new academic year have been well-organized. All schools and preschools completed minor repairs and renovations by early August, ensuring that educational institutions are fully ready to welcome students for the 2025–2026 academic year.
