Top Workers and Creative Figures of Turkmenistan Awarded State Honors
In the capital, ceremonial events were held to present state awards and honorary titles in celebration of the 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence.
According to decrees issued by President Serdar Berdimuhamedow, a number of citizens were awarded the medals “Gaýrat” and “Watana bolan söýgüsi üçin”, as well as honorary titles, including “People’s Artist of Turkmenistan”, “Distinguished Construction Worker of Turkmenistan”, “Distinguished Journalist of Turkmenistan”, among others. Special recognition was given to women awarded the “Zenan Kalby” order and senior citizens honored with the title “Respectable Elder of the People”.
For their contributions to strengthening cultural dialogue and cooperation with other countries and international organizations, foreign nationals were awarded the commemorative medal “300th Anniversary of Magtymguly Pyragy”.
Representatives of the Mejlis and the Government attended the ceremonies, congratulating the awardees on the upcoming Independence Day. The honorees expressed their gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedow and the National Leader of the Turkmen People, pledging their commitment to the prosperity of the country.
On the same day, a ceremony was held to honor figures in culture, arts, and literature, as well as the winners of the “Türkmeniň Altyn Asyry” (Golden Age of Turkmenistan) competition organized by the President of Turkmenistan. The President addressed the creative workers, emphasizing their role in the development of national culture and the promotion of the principles of neutrality.
The event concluded with a festive concert featuring masters of arts, laureates of national competitions, and dance and folkloric ensembles.
