Ashgabat to host meeting of Turkmen-Hungarian intergovernmental commission
The sixth meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Hungarian Commission on Economic Cooperation will be held in Ashgabat. Deputy Prime Minister Hojamyrat Geldimyradov reported on preparations for the upcoming meeting at a Cabinet of Ministers meeting on Thursday.
The Commission's agenda includes a wide range of issues: from expanding partnerships in trade and economics, energy, and textiles to cooperation in agriculture, transport, water management, and environmental protection. The parties also plan to discuss cooperation in the social sphere, including science, education, healthcare, as well as culture, sports, and tourism.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov also signed a resolution approving the composition of the Turkmen side on the Intergovernmental Commission, which will convene in the coming days.
It was previously reported that Turkmenistan and Hungary agreed to open cross-embassies.
