Ashgabat and Tashkent Deepen Sister City Ties: Friendship Parks, Tourism and Culture
Ambassador of Uzbekistaan to Turkmenistan Ravshanbek Alimov met with Ashgabat Mayor Rakhym Gandymov. According to the Uzbek portal UzDaily.uz, the meeting focused on the implementation of the Agreement on Establishing Sister City Relations between the city administrations of the two capitals.
The Ambassador and the Mayor focused on practical steps to expand cultural and humanitarian cooperation, including utilizing the public events offered by the Tashkent Park in Ashgabat and the Ashgabat Park in Tashkent, which have become a new symbol of friendship and mutual understanding between the peoples of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. They also discussed the participation of delegations from both capitals in international events held in Tashkent and Ashgabat.
In particular, the participation of representatives of the Ashgabat city administration in the Tashkent International Tourism Fair "Tourism on the Silk Road," which will be held from November 27 to 29 of this year, was discussed. This will be another significant step in strengthening bilateral cooperation in the tourism and business sectors of the two capitals.
