During a meeting of the Turkmen government on Thursday, a schedule of important cultural events for November, announced by Deputy Chairperson of the Cabinet of Ministers Bahar Seyidova was discussed. Among them is a musical performance dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the birth of Gurbannazar Ezizov (1940–1975), People's Writer of Turkmenistan and recipient of the Magtymguly State Prize.

The fact that Gurbannazar Ezizov's anniversary is celebrated at the national level is no coincidence. Born on the first day of spring in 1940, the poet, in his short life of 35, truly became a national favorite and one of Turkmenistan's greatest lyricists.

His work, marked by the lightness of his lines and the succinct expressiveness of his style, imbued with a vibrant range of emotions, is of great significance in national culture. Ezizov is considered the founder of the modern lyric-philosophical movement in Turkmen poetry.

Events marking the anniversary, held throughout the year (including concerts, exhibitions, and creative meetings), aim to strengthen national identity and promote the Turkmen language and spiritual heritage among young people. Furthermore, the anniversary celebrations contribute to the advancement of Turkmen culture and humanitarian values on the global stage.

In addition to the celebration in honor of the poet, conferences, exhibitions, concerts, and opening ceremonies for new facilities are also planned for November, timed to the International Year of Peace and Trust, Construction and Industrial Workers' Day, and the Harvest Festival.
