The President of Turkmenistan began his state visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan on November 16. An official welcoming ceremony for Serdar Berdimuhamedov was held at Tashkent-Humo International Airport.
After welcoming the distinguished guest, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev invited the Turkmen leader to the podium.
A military orchestra played the national anthems of the two countries. An honor guard marched past the heads of state.
The presidents greeted the members of their official delegations.
The main events of the visit will take place tomorrow, November 17.
During the high-level talks, issues of further strengthening the Turkmen-Uzbek strategic partnership and deepening multifaceted cooperation will be discussed.
Today, the President of Turkmenistan is participating in the 7th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia.
