PetHealthPredictor is gaining popularity online as a tool that helps pet owners conduct initial health assessments and plan treatment expenses. The system combines the capabilities of a language model with an up-to-date database of veterinary clinics, offering users a “virtual veterinarian” experience.

The process begins with entering basic information about the pet, including its name, species, and age. Based on the symptoms provided, the algorithm analyzes veterinary reference materials and generates a list of possible conditions.

The key feature of the neural network is financial transparency: the system immediately estimates the approximate cost of required procedures and medications. However, it is important to note that the database is currently tied to the U.S. market, meaning all calculations are based on pricing and insurance models used by American veterinary clinics.

To protect owners from unexpected expenses, the service offers subscription plans. For example, plans for cats start at $14.95 per month and include routine checkups, vaccinations, and tests. Expanded plans for dogs may even cover procedures such as dental cleaning or sterilization.

This project is part of a global trend toward preventive medicine. Similar to smart devices for humans — such as Oura rings or Whoop trackers — these applications encourage owners to monitor their pets’ health proactively. It is important to remember that the neural network does not provide a final diagnosis but only highlights potential risks. Preventive care and early detection of symptoms with the help of AI can help avoid costly treatments in the future.
