xAI Launches Grok 4.20: One Answer Is Now Prepared by Four AI Experts
A new mode, Grok 4.20 (Beta), has become available on the grok.com platform and in mobile applications. Now, four independent agents work on your question simultaneously. The new feature is open even to free users, but with a limit: 8 queries per 4 hours.
Previously, this technology was only available in the Heavy version for $300 per month. Now, a "team of experts" is accessible to everyone. In the chat, you can see how the agents simultaneously think about the task, verify data, and combine the best into one accurate answer.
Parallel agent work is the main trend of 2026. Google and Anthropic are already implementing similar solutions, but Elon Musk was the first to add this complex mechanism to a regular chatbot. When searching the internet, the system has become noticeably faster, as agents search for information across different sources simultaneously.
The model's release was delayed by two months due to data center outages caused by extreme cold. Currently, Grok 4.20 produces detailed answers in 10–20 seconds. There are no official tests yet, but users can already assess the power of the new system in action.
