Ashgabat, February 24 | ORIENT. Strengthening bilateral energy partnership and enhancing regional connectivity were the central topics of the meeting between Pakistan's Federal Minister of Energy Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari and Turkmenistan's Ambassador Atajan Movlamov.

The talks, held in Islamabad, underscored the strategic nature of the two countries' relations, which are now entering the practical implementation phase of large-scale cross-border initiatives. The parties placed particular emphasis on the creation of a reliable energy infrastructure that will connect Central and South Asia. The following key aspects were highlighted during the discussion:

-The development of cross-border energy projects (TAPI, TAP) is seen not simply as a means of exporting raw materials, but as a foundation for the long-term sustainability of the entire region.

-The Minister and Ambassador noted the importance of exchanging technical data and coordinating energy policies to accelerate the construction of necessary facilities.

-It was emphasized that expanding the transport and energy network will provide a powerful incentive for trade, which, in turn, will ensure regional stability.
