Iran’s Assembly of Experts has determined the candidate for the country’s future Supreme Leader. Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of the late Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has been selected as the new head of the state. The information was officially confirmed by Assembly member Ayatollah Hossein Ali Eshkevari, who emphasized the importance of maintaining continuity of power.

At present, the process of officially assuming office is still underway. The Vice Chairman of the Assembly of Experts, Ayatollah Hosseini Bushehri, stated that all necessary formalities and the final decision will be announced in the very near future.
