On May 7, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Mariam Kvrivishvili, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, who was visiting our country. Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome, the guest noted the high level of interstate relations and conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from the President and Prime Minister of Georgia to the head of Turkmenistan and to National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty (People's Council), Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

President Berdimuhamedov reciprocated his best wishes to the Georgian leadership. During the meeting, the head of state emphasized the importance of the regular meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Georgian Commission on Economic Cooperation, with the participation of Mariam Kvrivishvili, expressing confidence that its results will contribute to consolidating joint efforts to intensify trade and economic relations. It was emphasized that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to strengthening constructive dialogue with Georgia, which is traditionally based on the principles of equality, mutual respect, and trust.

The interlocutors noted that interstate cooperation is developing successfully not only bilaterally but also within authoritative structures, primarily the United Nations, as evidenced by the practice of mutual support for initiatives at international venues. Trade-economic cooperation was identified as a key aspect of the partnership, with positive results achieved in energy, industry, and healthcare.

Transport and logistics were highlighted as strategically important areas of bilateral cooperation. The head of Turkmenistan noted that the systematic expansion of international transport corridor infrastructure and the country's advantageous geographic location create favorable conditions for connecting Asian countries with the Black Sea region and Europe. In this context, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the particular importance of implementing and promoting large-scale projects such as the Caspian Sea-Black Sea, Lyapis Lazuli, and Green Port. Along with the economic agenda, the interlocutors emphasized the continued importance of cultural and humanitarian dialogue in strengthening bilateral ties, bringing peoples closer together, and enriching cultures. At the end of the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan and the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia expressed their firm confidence in the further expansion and strengthening of constructive interstate cooperation in the interests of the friendly peoples of the two countries and exchanged best wishes.
