50 thousand square meters, over 800 enterprises, a coffee robot that prints photos, and medical robots for surgery
Let’s step into this world with a CCTV+ report.
Cutting-edge innovations took center stage at the 28th China Beijing International High-Tech Expo, which opened on Friday. Held under the motto “Technology Drives Progress, Innovation Shapes the Future”, the expo runs through Sunday.
Covering about 50,000 square meters, it brings together more than 800 companies and institutions from China and abroad. The expo features six specialized zones: information technology, healthcare, green and low-carbon development, intelligent manufacturing, digital economy, and regional innovation. Visitors can explore new products up close and interact with them directly.
Samir Babar, a visitor from Australia, shared his experience: “I saw the robot, a coffee machine. I realized it can not only make great coffee but also print a photo. So I ordered it to print a picture of my wife.”
For the first time, a popular science zone offers an immersive look at advanced technologies — from agriculture and tourism to healthcare.
Sergey Vorobyov from Belarus noted: “I saw the applications, especially medical robots. They are so useful for treatment, for surgery.”
An online digital platform has also been launched to help match projects, turning the expo into an “endless” venue for international science and technology cooperation.
First held in 1998, the expo has taken place 27 times. Today, it serves as a key window into China’s technological innovation and a major platform for global industrial cooperation.
Where? Right here. The future isn’t promised — it’s shown. And you can touch it. A robot makes coffee, prints a photo of your wife, while nearby, machines that will help a surgeon save a life. This isn’t science fiction. This is Beijing. This expo. Today.
