A meeting in Beijing, confidence in the Chinese market, a shared future in the skies and new horizons for cooperation
This is according to a CCTV+ report from the meeting between CCPIT Chairman Ren Hongbin and Boeing Global President Brendan Nelson.
In Beijing, a meeting took place that reaffirmed the strength of business partnerships between China and the United States. Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, met with Brendan Nelson, President of Boeing Global. Nelson’s visit is part of the delegation accompanying U.S. President Donald Trump.
Ren Hongbin, a witness to and participant in China’s reforms, called on Boeing to deepen cooperation. “You have witnessed the entire process of China's opening-up and reform policies and have contributed to this process. I hope that in the future Boeing will continue to develop cooperation and partnership with China,” Ren said.
In response, Brendan Nelson reaffirmed the company’s commitment to the Chinese market. “Boeing is very proud of our partnership with China. It is a partnership that has lasted 54 years and is timeless,” Nelson said.
China remains a key market for the American aerospace manufacturer. This dialogue is another step toward strengthening mutual trust and finding new areas of growth. The meeting in Beijing showed that despite everything, the world’s two largest economies are ready to talk and build a common future.
Fifty-four years is a lifetime. In aviation, it is several eras. Boeing has come a long way together with China: from the first deliveries to deep technological partnership. Today, the two sides are again looking in the same direction. Up — into the sky, where true cooperation knows no borders. And judging by the tone of the meeting, their joint flight is just beginning.
