Unique industries of Belt and Road countries, a hybrid online-offline format, e-commerce events and investment consultations
As reported by CCTV+, the 10th Silk Road International Expo opened in Xi’an. The event brought together more than 60 high-quality enterprises from China and other countries for cross-cultural exchange and cooperation.
This year, the expo includes six exhibition zones covering a total area of 72,000 square meters. It showcases unique industries and specialized products from Belt and Road Initiative partner countries. The goal is to deepen comprehensive economic, trade and investment cooperation.
For the first time, a special zone dedicated to the integrated development of ports, trade and industry has been created. The zone focuses on new high-efficiency productive forces in land and air ports and the internationalization of transport networks. This is intended to enhance the strategic role of the China-Europe Railway Express as a major international trade corridor.
Visitor Quan Xiaojun said: “The expo covers the entire spectrum of high-tech achievements and educational resources. This event allows us to explore potential business opportunities abroad. Overall, it is truly very useful.”
This year, the expo features a series of side events, including an opening ceremony, a cooperation and exchange conference within the China-Europe Railway Express economic circle, and e-commerce cooperation and exchange events.
The expo also includes online exhibitions and roadshows in a hybrid online-offline format. This provides a full-fledged platform for domestic and foreign participants to showcase products, interact with visitors, conduct trade negotiations and investment consultations.
Bektosh Norov, a participant from Uzbekistan, shared: “Seeing so many Chinese people here who are genuinely interested in our culture, the culture of Uzbekistan, really impressed me. I really enjoyed this event.”
The 10th Silk Road International Expo runs until May 25.
Xi’an, the ancient capital of the Silk Road, is once again a crossroads of civilizations. 60 companies, 72,000 square meters, 6 zones. China, Uzbekistan and other countries. A special zone for ports and railways. A hybrid format. The China-Europe Railway Express as a symbol of new trade. The expo is not just displaying goods — it is building bridges. The Uzbek participant is impressed by the Chinese interest in his culture. The Chinese are looking for business abroad. The question is not how many contracts will be signed. The question is how many friendships will be forged during these days. While the booths are open, the world is getting closer. And the Silk Road is getting a second wind. Not with camels, but with containers. And not with silk, but with culture.
