According to official data released on Wednesday, China's trade in goods and services recorded a surplus in March, reaching a total of 5 trillion yuan (approximately 700 billion US dollars).
The State Administration of Foreign Exchange reported that the total value of imports and exports for the month reached 4.99 trillion yuan, or about 730 billion US dollars.
Exports stood at 2.64 trillion yuan, while imports reached 2.34 trillion yuan, resulting in a surplus of approximately 300 billion yuan. In dollar terms, exports were about 387 billion, imports roughly 343 billion, and the surplus approximately 44 billion.
