A kind of musical flash mob begins all over the world on the eve of the celebration of Valentine's Day – romantic concerts are held in almost all cities of the world and Ashgabat is no exception. After all, even the name of the Turkmen capital means "city of love" in Persian.

On the eve of Valentine's Day, the Youth Chamber Orchestra conducted by conductor Rasul Klychev also "confesses" his feelings to his audience – the musicians will give a traditional concert with the symbolic name "Magic Melodies of Love", which will be held on February 12 at the Magtymguly Music and Drama Theater in the capital.

"We give a Valentine's Day concert every year – it's like traditional "valentines" to our listeners and fans who are always waiting for the performance of the youth orchestra. The holiday takes place in an atmosphere of romanticism - love "flies" in the air, our hearts are filled with love, and we transmit this fluid state to our listeners through music, "immersing" them in magical emotions. Melodies of unearthly beauty and many musical masterpieces of composers from different countries and historical eras were created for the glory of love and such works will be performed at our concert," Rasul Klychev, conductor of the Youth Chamber Orchestra, told Orient.

The concert program will be diverse, if I may say so. Well-known hits from the repertoire of Paul Moria, James Last - "Brazilian Carnival", "The Lonely Shepherd", which have become the "calling card" of the youth orchestra over the years and loved by listeners, will definitely be heard.

Another musical souvenir for the concert guests will be the performance of the waltz "And the Waltz Goes On" ("And the waltz continues"), which was written by Oscar winner, British actor, director and producer Sir Anthony Hopkins. The world premiere of the incredibly magical and touching composition took place in Austria in 2011, although the author composed it a long time ago, back in 1964. Probably, few people know that Anthony Hopkins, before becoming an actor, was a musician and too shy to voice his work. His waltz "And the Waltz Goes On" has been waiting for its performer for 47 years.

And of course, it is impossible to imagine a Valentine's Day concert without love songs – on this day, popular Turkmen vocalists Dovran Shammiyyev, Maysa Niyazova, Leyli Okdirova, Nuri Nuryyev will perform on stage with an orchestra. They will perform compositions from the repertoire of the Dutch group "Shocking Blue" - during the Soviet era they enjoyed incredible popularity, and especially "Venus", which is still popularly called "Shizgara". Also in the artists' program are musical works by famous Italian singers, from the repertoire of Alla Pugacheva, from the musical "Anna Karenina" and much more.

In short, a romantic evening with beautiful musical compositions and songs is an opportunity to have a good time, confess your love to your soulmate or remind you of your feelings.

If you have not yet decided what to give to your loved ones on Valentine's Day, as an option, you can present a ticket to a concert of the Youth Chamber Orchestra, which will take place on February 12 at the Magtymguly Music and Drama Theater. On this day, the line-up will give two performances at 17:00 and 19:00.
