Mercedes-Benz has become the most expensive automobile brand in the world, ahead of the pioneer of electric vehicles - the Tesla brand, the analytical agency Brand Finance reports.

The Mercedes-Benz brand rose in price by 1%, to $59.4 billion. Tesla, which was the leader in this indicator last year, fell in price by 12% in 2024, to $58.3 billion.

According to experts from the Brand Finance agency, the secret to the success of the Mercedes-Benz brand this year lies in competent cost control and a well-thought-out product range, which in turn contributed to revenue growth. The focus on premium passenger cars and vans has been instrumental in driving production scale and revenue growth.

According to Alex Hay, managing director of Brand Finance for the Asia-Pacific region, the decline in Tesla's brand value is becoming even more convincing against the backdrop of the auto industry's increasing focus on electric vehicles.

The brand value of Toyota, which took third place, remained at $52.7 billion.
