Electronic devices, including mobile phones and smartwatches, are prohibited in testing rooms and must be left outside during registration to ensure exam integrity.

The JLPT, launched in 1984, is one of the most recognized international tests for evaluating Japanese language proficiency among non-native speakers. It is jointly administered by the Japan Foundation and the Japan Educational Exchanges and Services and is held twice annually in dozens of countries.
