
A delegation from Turkmenistan, led by President of the Academy of Sciences, Allaberdi Ashirov, took part in a gala meeting dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS). The event, held at the ANAS Presidium, brought together leaders and representatives of scientific academies from a wide range of countries, including Turkey, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Vietnam, Italy, Bulgaria, Montenegro, as well as international scientific organizations.
The President of ANAS, Academician Isa Gebibbeyli, emphasized that the anniversary meeting aims to promote the further development of international scientific ties and the establishment of new partnerships.

The President of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan warmly congratulated his colleagues on their 80th anniversary, noting that, thanks to the efforts of the two heads of state, cooperation in science, education, and culture is consistently expanding. During his speech, the close cultural and humanitarian interaction between the countries was particularly emphasized.
The following examples were cited: the works of the great Turkmen poet Magtymguly Pyragy have been translated into Azerbaijani, the Magtymguly Pyragy Center for Turkmen Literature has been opened at the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature, and a number of international academic conferences dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Turkmen poet and thinker have been jointly held.
The foreign guests also congratulated Azerbaijani scientists on the Academy's anniversary and discussed prospects for further cooperation in science and innovative technologies.
