Seventeen-year-old Timur Arazmedov from Turkmenistan took part in the Malaysian Rubik's Cube Speed ​​Solving Competition, setting 12 national records. The tournament, held on November 1-2 in the state of Selangor, near Kuala Lumpur, brought together 186 top speedcubers from across Malaysia, as well as participants from China, Singapore, Egypt, and France.

Timur Arazmedov, a first-year student at the Asia-Pacific University of Technology (APU), achieved impressive results in various disciplines. His average scores were:

— 7x7: 3 minutes 36 seconds;

— 6x6: 2 minutes 22 seconds;

— 5x5: 1 minute 12 seconds;

— 4x4: 36.54 seconds;

— 3x3: 9.15 seconds in the semifinals (best time: 7.84 seconds).

Following the competition, the young speedcuber held 12 national records for Turkmenistan. In the 3x3 event, he reached the semifinals, finishing 16th among the tournament's top competitors.

Timur began solving Rubik's cubes at age of10, having taught himself the basics online. Within a week, he was solving a classic 3x3 cube in under five minutes. "I always wanted to improve. Over time, I learned to solve blindfolded—my personal best is 58 seconds," he shared.

The speedcuber also shared that he trained for many years with his friend and mentor, Mukhtar Amanovich. Today, Timur continues training, striving to represent Turkmenistan at international championships and inspire other young people to develop their abilities.
