Ashgabat, November 13 | ORIENT. This major international transport and communications forum, which brings together industry exhibitions and conferences on communications and logistics, has become not only a platform for exchanging opinions but also an effective working space where concrete agreements have been reached. Numerous bilateral meetings are taking place on the sidelines of the forum, demonstrating the event's highly practical focus.
Representatives of Turkmen government agencies and foreign business circles are actively negotiating, some for informational and consultative purposes, but most have a very real portfolio of concrete proposals. This intensive work has resulted in the signing of several important bilateral documents, setting the course for cooperation in the coming years.
Significant agreements were signed in the areas of telecommunications transit and cybersecurity, both crucial for the region:
A Memorandum of Intent on Cooperation was signed between the Turkmentelecom Telecommunications Company and the Kyrgyztelecom Open Joint-Stock Company. This document aims to organize the transit of telecommunications flows, directly strengthening Central Asia's role as a digital corridor.

The cybersecurity unit received a double boost: The Ministry of Communications of Turkmenistan signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the American company Palo Alto Networks, Inc., a global leader in information security and cloud solutions.

In addition, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed with the French company THALES DIS France SAS, underscoring the multi-pronged approach to strengthening the protection of the national information space.

The Ministry of Communications also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Estonian e-Governance Academy. This document aims to facilitate the exchange of best practices and expertise in the development and implementation of digital government services.

Significant practical results were also achieved during negotiations in the logistics and transportation sector. This included the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Railway Transport of Turkmenistan and the Chinese engineering corporation China CAMC Engineering Co., Ltd. This agreement opens the door to joint projects to modernize and develop the country's railway infrastructure.

The signing of these documents confirms that the international forum in Ashgabat serves not simply as a platform for dialogue, but as an effective center for decision-making and strategic partnerships that contribute to the structural transformation of Turkmenistan's economy and the strengthening of its regional role.
