March begins not with a date, but with music that makes your heart beat faster. The young and ambitious "Melodiya" orchestra is preparing its second major performance—and this time, it's dedicated to Her Majesty Woman.
The concert program is a skillful blend of the drive of the metropolis and the tenderness of a spring garden. Forget stereotypes: familiar hits by Valery Meladze and Grigory Leps, in orchestral arrangements, acquire a noble, almost "cinematic" sound. This is a case when music we know by heart reveals new facets. Ashgabat residents will also hear beloved songs by Zarina Tilidze, a Dagestani singer with Georgian roots.
The work of Turkmen composers Ayna Shirova and Gulshat Odeniyazova holds a special place in the program. Their compositions are always a subtle intellectual pleasure, adding depth and a touch of national flavor to the evening.
The highlight of the evening's menu will be French chanson: for those who want to be transported for a few minutes to the banks of the Seine and feel a carefree mood. And the children's choir "Rainbow" will add that special nostalgia and purity to the evening that we sometimes sorely lack.
The second concert is always a test of strength and a special energy. "Melodiya" is just beginning its journey, and you can witness the birth of a new musical team in the capital. Bring your moms, girlfriends, and loved ones: this evening at the Vatan Cinema and Concert Hall will be the best gift for March 8th.
